Web Site Update

it has been awhile since posting any updates. I have been busy creating new art but have been undecided about the future of this website. For now it will stay the same and I will be trying to post on a regular basis.

Peonies

Currently I am not working on any specific projects. It gives me the opportunity to have some fun taking random photos. A few days ago I was looking at my wife’s garden and her peonies. They are an old variety not seldom seen. They are all white with a touch of yellow and red in their centers. i have photographed them over the years when in bloom and sold an image of a tight close up of the flower in full bloom, but I have always been intrigued with the flowers as they decayed. Below are a three such photos of the decaying flowers.

Commercial Fishing Nets

I spent a couple of days this winter hanging around the commercial fishing docks in Montauk and Hampton Bays.

POP UP ART EXHIBIT AND SALE

 
Labor Day Only tomorrow September 3rd on the corner of Deerfield Road and Deer Run, Water Mill. Pop Up Art Sale Exhibit of photography by Anthony Lombardo. A photographer who has exhibited in many local galleries and whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Newsday The Southampton Press, and East Hampton Star among other local and national newspapers and magazines will be selling exhibition prints. All work is at greatly reduced prices to make way for new works of art and future exhibits. Also on site will be one of Anthony’s custom built traditional kayaks. Exhibit will start at 8:30 and end at 3:00.

Ink Exhibit East End Arts Riverhead, NY

I have three photos in this exhibit which hangs this week and has an opening exhibit reception Friday August 3, 5 -7 pm. One of my photos was used for the call to artist to enter the exhibit. I have three photos in the exhibit. One photo wining an honorable mention. The three photos i have are the only photos to be chosen for the exhibit. Below is the exhibit poster.
