The last new moon I went out to capture some images of the Milky Way over our local scenes. I had three images planned but that didn’t happen. The fist was an image of the Milky Way rising over the dunes on the beach unfortunately the Milky Way core didn’t rise high enough to clear the dunes. The second was a panoramic showing the whole Milky Way arch however ambient light from the villages washed out the Northern end of the arch. The third was at Montauk Lighthouse it just happened to be when the smoke form the Canadian fires reached our area and the lights from the lighthouse were so defused an acceptable image wasn’t captured. Forced to pivot I made three other images of good Milky Way images.
