There isn’t much marsh on the bay but there is a strip of grass behind a few mansions. Today the light was right to get a image.

Waves
Wave photos seem to be the new think around the local galleries. Most of the photos are straight forward rolling waves with good surfing breaks. I like a little more drama so I am posting these. Both were taken on a cold day with a strong Northwest wind which creates the drama.
A Couple of Sunsets
It’s been pretty busy the last few months, but I finally got out and did some photography. A couple of Sunset photos. Hope you like them.
Napeague Sunset
I was driving home from Montauk and came to the Napeague overlook to this stunning sunset. I stopped ran out and got a couple of photos.
Sunflowers
We planted sunflowers in the garden this year. In past years we planted them outside the garden fencing and the deer eat the plants. So this year I got a couple of photos of the flowers.
Yellow Swallow Tail Butterfly
This Yellow Swallow Tail Butterfly has been hanging around our butterfly bushes this summer. I finally got the camera out and got a good photo of him. He is easy to recognize because of his broken tail.
Sunset at Flying Point
Got out last night to take a few photos as the sun was setting on Flying Point Beach in Water Mill.
Ice Boats on Mecox
Today I stopped over to Mecox Bay and caught the end of the day ice boaters. Every winter when the bay ices over these hardy sailers get there ice boats out. Some of these boats can reach speeds of 65 mph or more. Below are a couple of photos from the day.
Rhodes
I have been working on a concept for a new group of photos. The concept consist of photo shopping the image of a man covered in black latex into landscapes and other images these are the first two images. Not sure if I want to continue with this concept some feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
Water Over Rocks
An older photo that I thought might be good time to put up on the site. This was done with a long exposure. I didn’t have a tripod with me. I had laid the camera on a large rock, and held it as steady as I could. Taking several photos to insure I had a sharp image.
