Took a hike at Montauk Point and couldn’t resist taking a few photos. The Lighthouse of course, and a few other iconic Montauk Point images.
Three rocks in Sag Harbor at evening light
This Yellow Swallow Tail Butterfly has been hanging around our butterfly bushes this summer. I finally got the camera out and got a good photo of him. He is easy to recognize because of his broken tail.
Got out last night to take a few photos as the sun was setting on Flying Point Beach in Water Mill.
Today I stopped over to Mecox Bay and caught the end of the day ice boaters. Every winter when the bay ices over these hardy sailers get there ice boats out. Some of these boats can reach speeds of 65 mph or more. Below are a couple of photos from the day.
I have been working on a concept for a new group of photos. The concept consist of photo shopping the image of a man covered in black latex into landscapes and other images these are the first two images. Not sure if I want to continue with this concept some feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
I was out shooting the local bays at the end of the day. I have been playing with a minimalistic cropping and subject. Taking an idea from painters who set the horizon low in the image.
For Christmas I posted a photo of the Water Mill windmill, which is a classic English style windmill. While we go through a deep freeze in most of the country, and some friends are missing the weather of golf season, I thought I would post the windmill from the National Golf Links of America. The windmill is a Dutch style windmill and an icon of one of the oldest golf course in America. There are only two Dutch style windmills on Long Island that I am aware of the other is on the campus of Stonybrook Southampton College.
I recently added several gallery pages to the site. Below are just a few images from these galleries. Please browse through the site and enjoy the photos.
